Sean, the 16-year-old son of THIN LIZZY/ex-WHITESNAKE guitarist John Sykes, is currently playing keyboards for the California-based thrash/death metal band STATIUS. The unsigned group, which is influenced by such acts as CHILDREN OF BODOM, STRATOVARIOUS, OUTWORLD, EMPEROR and TESTAMENT, has posted three songs from its 2008 demo on the STATIUSMySpace page: "Touch of Salvation", "Forest Kin" and "The Luthier".

STATIUS is:

Ronny - Vocals/Lead Guitar
Sean - Keyboards
Wyatt - Drums
Xavier - Bass/Backing Vocals

The group is currently seeking "a dedicated guitarist who has four years' experience and who plays metal guitar," reads a posting on the band's MySpace page. "Must be between the ages of 16 and 19 and must be drug-free and down to practice at least once a week. Must have gear."
